On 7 December 2024, Sabah Energy Corporation (SEC) hosted a friendly bowling match with the Sabah Journalist Association (SJA) and the Media and Communications Office of the Chief Minister’s Department at the Strikers Bowl, Sutera Harbour Resort.

The SEC team was led by the Deputy CEO, Hj Ir. Ts. Ahmad Jafar, while the media team was headed by the SJA President, Datuk Muguntan Vanar. About 35 members of the media turned up that day from various organisations, such as RTM, the Daily Express, The Star, and many more, making the session lively, fun, and filled with laughter.

The objective of the event was to show our appreciation to the local media, who have consistently supported SEC in delivering our stories and achievements to the public. This game also served as an opportunity to strengthen our existing relationships with the media, who play an essential role in disseminating fast and reliable news across both traditional and social media platforms.

As we continue to grow, SEC looks forward to nurturing these essential relationships through continued collaboration, event support and meaningful engagements with the media and our stakeholders.
