Sabah Energy Corporation (SEC) recently joined hands with the Sabah Forestry Department (SFD) in support of the 100 Million Tree Campaign 2021 – 2025, an ongoing effort to preserve and restore Sabah’s natural environment.

As part of the initiative, SEC contributed to the planting of 680 trees at Hutan Simpan Ulu Kukut, Kota Belud. The contribution was officially handed over by SEC Group CEO, Datuk Adzmir Abd Rahman, to SFD Chief Conservator of Forests, Datuk Frederick Kugan, witnessed by senior representatives from both organisations.

After the handover, 50 SEC employees rolled up their sleeves and planted 60 trees within the 1.7-hectare plot dedicated to SEC. It was a simple yet meaningful gesture, one that symbolises the company’s shared responsibility in protecting Sabah’s forests.
