Integrity in every decision, responsibility for every asset and safety in every action—these principles took centre stage as Sabah Energy Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (SEC) held its Integrity, Property & Safety Day 2026 from 11 to 12 August at Menara SEC.
Reflecting the theme, “Integrity Drives Us, Property Matters, Safety Always,” the programme brought employees, government agencies and industry partners together to strengthen the values and practices underpinning a responsible, safe and well-governed organisation.
The event was jointly officiated by SEC Chairman, YBhg. Datuk Annuar Ayub; SEC Group Chief Executive Officer, YBhg. Datuk Ir. Ts. Adzmir Abd Rahman; and Director of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM) Sabah, YBhg. Datuk Mohd Fuad Bee Basrah. The ceremony was witnessed by members of the SEC Board of Directors and attended by the Corporation’s management and employees, alongside invited guests and representatives from participating organisations.
A key moment was the signing of the Ikrar Bebas Rasuah (IBR), accompanied by integrity and safety pledges. These commitments affirmed the responsibility of every employee to uphold ethical conduct, safeguard the workplace, and protect the organisation’s people, property and reputation. They also reinforced the values, conduct and collective discipline essential to advancing SEC’s long-term ambitions.
Delegates were also taken inside SEC’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Control Room, where SEC monitors its gas network and operations across Sabah in real time. The visit brought the programme’s message into sharp operational focus, showing how vigilance, responsible asset stewardship and safety come together in SEC’s day-to-day operations.
Moving beyond pledges, the programme equipped employees with practical knowledge across integrity, workplace safety, property management, environmental awareness and personal well-being.
Representatives from SPRM, FatHopes Energy, the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia, the Employees Provident Fund, Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP) and AmCharge shared insights on issues affecting employees, the workplace and the wider energy landscape.
The learning experience continued through exhibition booths by SPRM Sabah, the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, Employees Provident Fund, KKIP, Borneo Housing, AmCharge, Maybank, Public Bank, HB Safety Equipment, Borneo InfraGrid and FatHopes Energy.
Together, the talks and exhibitions gave employees direct access to specialist guidance, services and solutions—turning awareness into knowledge they could apply at work and in their daily lives.
On the second day, SEC carried the programme’s message of responsibility into the community through a blood donation drive conducted in collaboration with Queen Elizabeth Hospital II.
SEC and SPRM also engaged 100 students—60 from SM La Salle and 40 from ADTEC JTM Kampus Kota Kinabalu—in an integrity awareness session. The outreach encouraged young people to recognise that integrity begins with personal choices and remains fundamental to responsible leadership and citizenship.
By bringing together workplace commitments, operational insight, practical learning and community service, SEC demonstrated that integrity, responsible property stewardship and safety are interconnected—not stand-alone priorities.
For SEC, integrity drives every decision, responsible property stewardship protects what matters, and safety remains an unwavering priority. Through sustained collaboration with employees, agencies, industry partners and the community, the Corporation continues to turn these principles into everyday practice.
