As part of SEC’s commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability, we have shared several boxes of books, magazines, and law journals from our mini library with two local institutions: the Monfort Youth Training Centre and the Sabah Law Society.
With SEC embarking on an exciting transition to a new office, we are also renewing our library to accommodate fresh collections. While some books won’t be making the move with us, their value and purpose will live on in the hands of these organisations. This initiative is designed to promote learning and intellectual growth within the local community, supporting both education and legal awareness. It also opens the door to building new relationships with these organisations as we work together towards shared goals.
By repurposing valuable educational resources, we are not only reducing waste but also extending the life of these knowledge assets, helping to minimise our environmental footprint. This aligns closely with our sustainability efforts, the broader Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We hope that through these efforts, we can enhance access to education and legal resources, while at the same time, empowering communities for a brighter and more informed future.
