Asian Supply Base Sdn. Bhd. (116635-A)

Asian Supply Base Sdn. Bhd. (ASB) is wholly owned by the State Government of Sabah via Sabah Energy Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (SEC) and was incorporated on 17th March 1984.

ASB  is an Offshore Supply Base located in Labuan that aims to participate and support the Oil & Gas exploration and production (E&P) activities off the coast of Sabah & Sarawak waters.

Sprawled over 345 acres, ASB has been operating 24 hours, 7 days a week and 365 days a year since its formation in exclusively providing facilities and services that are tailored to the requirements of the Oil & Gas companies.

SEC Gas Sdn Bhd. (1188860-W)

SEC Gas Sdn. Bhd. is a subsidiary company owned by Sabah Energy Corporation Sdn. Bhd (60%). and Zhangjiagang Furui Special Equipment Co. Ltd. (FURUISE) (40%).

It is a joint venture company tasked to build, own, operate and maintain a  Natural Gas Liquefaction plant. SEC Gas Sdn. Bhd. is also responsible to distribute  supply and transport Liquefied Gas to potential customers around Sabah.

Sepangar Chemical Industries Co. Ltd (221548-M) (Shiny) was incorporated in July 1991 on a joint-ventire basis with SEC holding 40% shares and Shiny Chemical Industries Co. Ltd. holding 60% shares. SCI’s integrated Formalin and Formaldehyde Adhesive Resins Plant is located in Sepangar Bay, Menggatal, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Wasco Pipe Sabah Sdn. Bhd.

Formerly known as Petro-Pipe Sabah Sdn. Bhd., Wasco Pipe Sabah Sdn. Bhd. is recognised as the most experienced producer of spiral-welded pipes in Malaysia. The company’s history traces back to 1983 with the establishment of PPI Industries Sdn. Bhd., the nation’s first spiral-welded pipe manufacturing facility located in Prai, Penang. PPI Industries is widely acknowledged as the pioneer in this industry within Malaysia.

Through its associated company, Hicom Petro-Pipe, Wasco Pipe Sabah Sdn. Bhd. has contributed to major projects, including the supply of over 700 kilometres of pipes for the Petronas Gas PGU project. Furthermore, the company has successfully delivered more than 440 kilometres of pipes to Petronas Carigali. Its reach extends beyond Malaysia, with its products making their way to international markets, reinforcing its position as a trusted name in the spiral pipe manufacturing sector.

Kinabalu North Shipyard & Maritime Sdn. Bhd.  was established in 2008 to set up and operate a ship repair yard  in Sepanggar Bay. It is a joint venture company  owned by Weldan Marketing Sdn. Bhd. and Sabah Energy Corporation Sdn. Bhd.

UPP Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (No. 1274565-P)

UPP Holdings Sdn. Bhd. is an investment holding company for the Upper Padas Hydroelectric Project in Tenom, Sabah. The project has a generating capacity of 187.5 MW and is a joint venture between Gamuda Berhad, Sabah Energy Corporation, and Kerjaya Kagum Hitech JV Sdn. Bhd. SEC holds a 40% stake in the company on behalf of the Sabah State Government.

 

Sabah Air Aviation Sdn. Bhd. (No. 24758-U)

Sabah Air Aviation Sdn. Bhd. is an Associate Company of SEC. SEC holds 40% shares in SAA

The company was registered in 1975 as a State Government Agency under the purview of the Ministry of Finance (MOF), with its headquarters located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.  Sabah Air Aviation (SAA), formerly known as Penerbangan Sabah

It was originally formed to provide air transport services to the people of Sabah such as MEDEVAC (Medical Evacuation) and FDS (Flying Doctor Service) services and Oil Rig Support services.
